Dr. Askari graduated from the University of Paris VI Pierre and Marie Curie (France) with a Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry in 1987. In 1992 he graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with the Samuel Charles Miller Award which is given for the highest degree of knowledge in periodontics. He completed the Post doctoral Specialty Training Program in Periodontics in 1994. Dr. Askari currently has a private practice in Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights specializing in periodontal disease, dental implants, and cosmetic periodontal treatment. In addition to directing his own study group, Dr. Askari attends professional association conferences and continuing education courses to keep abreast of the latest technology and techniques. He is also a former assistant professor at The Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at New York University.
