Upon graduation from Boston University, he became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics at New York University. He later served a ten year term as Associate Professor and Clinical director in the Department of Restorative Dentistry division of Fixed Prosthodontics at the University of Southern California’s, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. Dr. Daftary’s outstanding contributions to the study of Prosthodontics at an academic level led him to his nomination as chairman of the USC Department of Fixed Prosthodontics.
